Parenting Assistance Services for Mothers and Pregnant Mothers

Our organization provides the services and referrals necessary to assist pregnant and parenting women with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a more effective parent and lead productive and independent lives. All women participants will complete a North Carolina Family Assessment Scale – Pre and posttest evaluating family function in 5 domains; environment, parental capabilities, family interactions, child wellbeing, and family safety. Services will be developed based on assessment ratings. Referring women considering adoption to the agency’s Adoption Program. Women will have the opportunity to explore the many options that a birth mother has – including open adoptions and the opportunity to select the adoptive parents. Legal support services are also available throughout the adoption process. Women will participate in workshops designed to help them choose and access competent day care. We also refer mothers to other parenting support programs.
